The Flexible City: rethinking the urban to face future challenges
The Oxford Programme for the Future of Cities is proud to celebrate the overwhelming success of its 2016 summer course ‘Oxford Future of Cities: Best Sustainable Practice’. Held at Christ Church College, Oxford, from the 16th to the 24th August, this course focused on providing a global and comparative perspective on major aspects of contemporary and near future urban development with case studies on mega cities around the world, in order to explore best sustainable practices for balancing economic, environmental and social developments. The course was attended by a group of talented and advanced undergraduates, postgraduate students, and professionals, aiming to pursue high-level research or management careers in the field. The course was well received and the feedback from participants overwhelmingly positive. Some photos from the course can be found below.
